MP3 Tim Bick - Clegg

Debut single from the former Exiles songwriter, English pop rock bursting the buttons off its velvet waistcoat with melody and lyrical wit. Perhaps the first and only time that both Avril Lavigne and Tony Blair get a mention in the same song.

Details:
When asked for some context for this song, Tim rambled on about "a musical journey", "shimmering sheets of synthesizer surf", and other frankly incomprehensible cliches that would merely insult the intelligence of the reader. At one point he declared that his guitar "sounds like a wounded otter". There is at least some sense in this, in that there is something unmistakably fishy about it. It may not even be a guitar, since Tim''s affection for the ukulele banjo is well known and one wouldn''t put it past him to have plugged it into some jerry-built box of badly soldered wiring in order to pull the wool over people''s eyes. On second thoughts, the guitar sounds mostly in tune, so it probably isn''t that.

Citizens of the world, as opposed to the UK, may be wondering who the "Nicholas Clegg" of the title is - the citizens of the UK aren''t entirely sure either. We asked Mr Clegg to comment himself but he declined to comment on whether he could or could not comment.

There will be more singles, and they will be generally more upbeat than this one. Why Tim chose to open with a slow one about disappointment is a bit of a mystery, particularly when he naturally inclines to somewhere around 117bpm whilst wearing a smirk. Not a smock. Though smocks are going to be big in Williamsburg in 2014 so you should probably buy one now, just to be safe.
