Journalists and reviewers have commented:
"Tad''s original music has a timeless and endearing quality...as creative and powerful a fiddler as I have ever heard with a driving and smooth bow style... can write a tune that sounds like an old O''Carolan composition then turn around and write a catchy calypso melody that stays with you...this is a first class road trip CD!!"

April Verch, Canadian fiddler/dancer extraordinaire has this to say about this CD:

"Tad Marks'' passion for various styles of traditional music is evident on Callin'' in the Dogs. This recording is an eclectic mixture of "Trad. and Tad" as he puts it, and the fact that it is at times difficult to distinguish between his timeless compositions and the tastelfully selected traditional tracks without reading the liner notes, is a true testament to his skill as a composer of roots music. The arrangements highlight Tad''s skill on a variety of instruments, but its his fiddle playing that takes the spotlight and shines brightly! This recording will resonate deeply with fiddle fans from various backgrounds and inspire traditional musicians to stretch their own boundaries."

I got an email from a fan who sent this funny review, apparently from Mickey (a Dog from Rhode Island):

''Calling In The Dogs is a hit with Schnauzers in Rhode Island. Everybody is barking about it. It''s a paw tapping, tail wagging good time. I give it two paws up! Even my two legged friends like it. Tell your human to buy it today.''

Have a Happy Day!
