What do you do when you feel like “the good life” is just passing you by? Sometimes it’s so much easier just to stay in that lovely world of denial or to do the bare minimum...not challenging yourself at all.

Picture the morning after that wild party (yep, just like Roxy on the album cover) You got to temporarily forget all of your problems, but then you did the one thing that you shouldn''t have that brought it all to an end. You opened your eyes the next morning, and let the real world back in.

This is the precursor for Roxy Especial''s self-titled debut CD. A collection of introspective songs focusing on what to do now.

Roxy Especial''s new CD is a challenge to us all. Life is full of them. We should all start looking at them as opportunities and take advantage of them instead of trying to figure out how to avoid them...and in the midst of that process, laugh a little and maybe have a cocktail.

So what the hell is the style of music like? Well, it''s really not like anything out there. The musical flavors on the album are all from the widely varying styles of music that Roxy was exposed to as a Latina growing up in Los Angeles. If forced to describe it, it''s a fusion of funk, latin, and pop all mixed into a strong and tasty cocktail for your drinking (and dancing) pleasure.

Roxy''s band is from Los Angeles and was pleased when the song "Move With Me" was placed on the ABC Family channel show "Knock First", and the songs "Luna" and "Do You Like" were placed on the Showtime series “Resurrection Blvd.
Roxy is currently working on a second album and she plays special shows throughout the Los Angeles area

Roxy and her band members have had residencies at hot L.A. clubs such as, the Conga Room, Kassbah, The Lounge, 360, and the Derby.
