Born in Brandon, Manitoba Canada, Taylor is one of the most notable young composers on the scene today. While these days he is based in Toronto (Taylor has lived all over Canada and also in the North of England for a very short time), performances and recordings of his music are heard all over the world. Taylor frequently is noted for his individual poly-tonal style, influenced by French composers Darius Milhaud and Arthur Honegger. Taylor started writing music at the age of 10. He has written works for notables such as pianist Helene Grimaud and conductor Alun Francis amongst many others.
