I feel like that song was written just for me in memory of my mother. I know that it really wasn''t, but it has really touched me.
When my mother was dying, her best friend wrote a poem for her called "God''s Warrior". The poem talked about her being a warrior fighting for courage to stand strong and whole. I used to tell my mother that it wasn''t fair that God wasn''t answering my prayer about healing her. She was real quick to tell me that it wasn''t true...she was getting the best healing of all...the ultimate healing. She was going to have courage, stand strong and dance at God''s feet. She would say that God was healing her...because once in heaven, she would never feel pain and she would get that healing finally that we all prayed for.
She would tell me that she was ready to die so she can be strong and whole again and that she would be ready to dance in heaven. She would say that while she was dancing at HIS feet she wanted us to be dancing with her at her funeral. Needless to say, we didn''t dance at her funeral like she wanted, but that sure has stuck with me. She had more courage than any of us and SHE kept us going and SHE kept us strong.
