Details:
1."Days in Black Satin" is an ode to the bright sides of life and the excellent teas of Remedy Teas in Seattle, WA. "Black Satin" and "Beauty" are not only tropes but the actual names of teas served at Remedy Teas. Track #1 is a dubbed out South Asian electro folk version based on Raag Bhupali. Track #4 is an more upbeat live version with cajon by Viren Kamdar and Asante drums by and Yaw Amponsah.
2. "Vibrance''s Edge"is a song about heart resuscitation following a break up. Track #2 drops some bollywood vibes into a foundation of heavy kicks, bass and polyrhythmic hip hop in. Track #4 is a chilled out hip hopped acoustic version of the same.
3. "Theme to the Rhythm" A song about leaving romantic purgatory and coming back to planet Earth. Track #3 mixes live tabla and darbouka with upbeat polyrhythmic beats heavy bass and dubwise sarod and vocals. Track #6 is what I lovingly refer to as the "Whetzel''s Afro-Cuban Fantasy Mix," in which Yaw and Viren bring a melodically tasty Afro-Cuban beat to my sarod, voice and bass.
