Details:
This is the first of nine albums of the 27 Topics for Shifting Global Consciousness series. It is designed to invoke deep states of physical, mental and emotional balance and transformation.

1. Peace. This highly refined frequency can be felt as you enter into the theta state and is felt as a deep sense of well being, a frame of mind, or reference, where the mind and the soul begin to merge. Use this frequency to manifest and begin to transmute the lower vibrational frequencies of fear and discontent.

2. Joy. Use this for the transmutation of sorrow, and creating a vibrational frequency of 3.7 Hz within oneself. Joy is usually thought of as an active state, but in truth it is a deeply inward framework of communion with one''s innermost core, where the troubles and concerns of the world do not enter.

3. Balance and Harmony. We are in a continual state of re-balancing our energy systems, which are swayed by the outer world as much as our inner thoughts and beliefs. Use this music to re-center and recalibrate one''s energy system for clarity of thought and feeling.

The 27 Topics for Shifting Global Consciousness were created over 18 months in front of a small group of people interested in bringing in high frequencies of joy and light. Mark would start these sessions with a focused but freely improvised piano expository, which would be followed by an hour-long discourse by his wife, Carol Fitzpatrick (see weblink above). The two expressions - music and spoken word - created a vibratory field of deep experiential learning designed to repattern and transform the human energy system.

"Music is knowledge. It brings to us the multidimensional blueprints of consciousness beyond our present mental constructs, and delivers a paradigm of being, feeling and action far beyond our ideas of who we are and of what we are capable. It provides nourishment for the new operating system of the evolving body we are creating which will more adequately utilize the heightened energies of the planet. It provides a platform from which our awareness and vibratory patterning may launch into new and expanded states. And it can help heal the emotional and physical body of traumas via vibrational frequencies that bypass our present concepts of healing." -Mark Torgeson

Mark Torgeson is a classically trained pianist whose spontaneously created songs are passionate, joyful and filled with heartfelt expression. Drawing inspiration from nature and the cosmos, he plays with a sense of childlike wonderment and unbridled enthusiasm. Mark''s style is classically influenced with an orientation toward the romantic and impressionistic, with hints of jazz and world idioms. His repertoire is all original, with free improvisation forming a strong foundation in his performances. He believes we are at a major juncture in human consciousness - a time when music will be used to accelerate our ability to change by opening the heart and doorways of perception. He draws from the rich traditions of classical music and jazz to weave a tapestry both sophisticated and spontaneous. Through the themes of nature and the cosmos, one hears in this music the pulse of earthy elements and the sweeping cosmological stories of the stars. Mark''s expression is always playful, full of surprises, fueled by whim and the emotion of joy. Happy Traveling!
