StumbleDrunk is a sweaty, commanding rock band straight from the heart of Austin, Texas. At once combining aggression and melody, StumbleDrunk explores the darker side of rock with roots deeply embedded in influences such as the Toadies, Replacements, Stone Temple Pilots, Red Fang, and Modest Mouse.
Building on the success of the band’s first EP release “Happy Holidaze,” the crew has recently resurrected the dead art of a cohesive-sounding album. This 12-song affair is called “Monday Evenings,” which will be available digitally, on CD, and vinyl. The album shifts stylistic gears with each song, yet manages to maintain musical continuity. With parts ranging from plodding, drunken breakdowns to frantic, aggressive thrashing, “Monday Evenings” captures a spectrum of emotions that only a project over a year in the making can reflect. The lyrics are at once hopeful and cynical, coping with anger, change, and acceptance. Look for the band to continue playing gigs all around the greater Austin area in support of the album and rock music.
Compiled of friends and family, StumbleDrunk is the brainchild of the brothers Carter and Tucker Francis, Derek Pope, Wayne Zingery, and Josh Massey. As members of start-up indie label Posters on Walls Records, StumbleDrunk can be reached via the following avenues:
