Bio:

GREY-
Montreal, Christmas 1988 it began, there was a beautiful EVH look-alike guitar at the local music store and I wanted it. Unfortunately I got a classical guitar and six months of lessons from a guy that wanted to show me how to play twinkle, twinkle little star on the high e. So after a couple of lessons I kicked a hole in the guitar and threw it in the closet.
It begins again, two years later I pulled that same guitar out of the closet and taught myself to play. Within a year and a half I put a band together, wrote some material and started to perform. It was a hard-rock band called MAJESTY, (no not the majesty that became Dream Theatre). Over a two to three year period the band played some shows, a telethon and did a T.V. spot on a local station. The singer then left followed by the other guitar player and the band basically split-up. This scenario repeated many times until ARCANAWAKE. This was a progressive-metal band which signed to a small production company but the week prior to recording the album we had a singer problem combined with a legal issue which f***ed everything up.
This was the beginning of my musical depression, I stopped playing.
Got back into it a year or two later but could never find the right people primarily a decent singer. So I wrote and wrote and wrote some more. Even recorded it all but no vocals, they were written but no one to sing them. A friend heard the stuff and said it all sounds great why not do the vocals yourself. So more out of desperation than anything else I did and the long and short of it is I''m now a singer.
I looked long and far to find the right band. Eventually I found Adam in New Jersey and I guess you could say the rest is history in the making.
So there you have it, a few months have passed the album is almost ready for the world to hear. Hope you enjoy it. GREY

ADAM-
In addition to SohlKry, writer and guitarist for Seven Urges. I love good modern metal, the screaming vocals, double bass drums and the heavy guitars.
I consider myself first a song writer then a guitar player. Used to play guitar during high school, but the time was not right and the guitar stayed in the corner of my room for years. The passion was always there...
In 2006, I started writing and decided to form a serious hard rock band with a cousin bass player. This is where Raf and I came up with Seven Urges. This local act has been moving along well with shows in NYC, NJ, and Philadelphia.
7U is my wine; SohlKry is my Kamikaze shot with Red Bull.
After getting in touch with Grey, the collaboration skyrocketed. We both found a match in each other''s energy levels, creativity, and similar mindsets. During writing of this record I remember clearly waiting with anticipation to hear Grey''s vocal ideas for the tunes I wrote. That usually happened in a day or so... The entire album took us about 8 weeks to write.
So if you get the record, you will feel what we did during writing. Our screaming souls are on it; we hope you enjoy it! ADAM

SANDEEP-
I grew up listening to Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Guns N Roses, and Metallica, but soon after picking up the guitar freshmen year in high school, style changed to more technical such as Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert, and Dream Theater. I would spend hours each day practicing scales and memorizing the fretboard, sometimes falling asleep with a guitar in my hand, waking up middle of the night just to continue practicing. Soon after, other guitar players in my high school couldnt keep up with me; while they were busy playing their three chord acoustic songs to impress the ladies, I was playing bleeding metal at supersonic speeds. Without better guitar players around me, I eventually hit plateau and started to hunt for a guitar virtuoso to jam with. I was introduced to Angel Vivaldi by a friend, and with his help I was able to correct some wrongs and take my playing to the next level. He soon taught me his songs, and all of the sudden I was in my first serious band. Throughout the years I have been in and out of bands playing anything from alternative to progressive metal and doing acoustic sets at open mics all around NJ trying to find a band with good chemistry. Recently I joined a great group of musicians in a band called Seven Urges (https://www.tradebit.com) and everything clicked. Soon after, Adam introduced me to Sohlkry and I was instantly hooked to Greys brutal vocals and Adam''s mesmerizing guitar riffs and solos. Sohlkry filled the gap between the music I grew up listening, and the technically advanced stuff I love to play - I knew this is where I belonged.

It all started for me at the end of my junior year in High School, when a friend asked me to play bass for his band. Quickly we ran to the local music store where I purchased my first bass, an Ibanez Roadstar II. Not knowing how to play or even what to do with it, I excitedly stared at it for what seemed like days...I couldn''t wait to play it. The same friend later introduced me to, what would be, my bass teacher for the next 2 years. With Iron Maiden, Rush, Randy Coven, Anthrax, Accept and Metallica as inspirations, the learning and progression came very fast. Soon enough, I was rockin (head-banging actually). The band I was in with my friend and 3 other friends was brilliantly called.....Black Knight! Within 1 year after playing, the band had an opportunity to be on a small local band compilation album, aptly titled....New Jerseys Best Punk, Funk and Junk. The guitarist wrote the song that would be debuted...''Is it too late.'' Some small club gigs followed. BK stayed together for about another 5 years with no real movement or ground breaking sound. As college ended and "life" began, music, or the hopes of making it big in music, got parked on some side street somewhere. I played a few gigs here and there as a backup bass player, but nothing serious. I also helped out my high school guitarist''s current band, ''Michael Kovacs and the Post Modern Tribe''. Then in 2006, my cousin approached me with an idea of starting something from scratch. After being dormant for a decade, the idea certainly intrigued me. We quickly started working on project, what is now called Seven Urges (https://www.tradebit.com). The music evolved tremendously and the idea and passion for music came flooding back into my blood.
Recently, I joined the efforts of Grey and Adam on SohlKry as a guest bass player, a project that has been moving very fast.

JOHN-
In addition to SohlKry, I also play for Seven Urges. I''m primarily self taught on drums, started at the age of 8. My early influences were Kiss, Rush, Accept, Anvil, Manowar, Type-O, Dream Theater,...
Heavy metal music and playing drums will always be a big part of my life...always trying to make original stuff.
