The Burnin Rain Chronology 1988-1993

1988-The band started with two long standing members Mike
Pemberton and Erich Anderson. Inspired by a 45 rpm collection of Texas psychadelic records we discovered in local thrift stores. Bands like the ''Bricks'' , ''Mouse
and the Traps'',''The Chessman'' and the ''13th Floor Elevators''.

Mark Migliore, founder of (Rockadelic Records), and singer
Jim Edgerton of the band ''The Other Side'' joined that year.
Searching endless Dallas pawn shops we gathered up all the
Vox Guitars, Organs and super Beatle amps we could get our
hands https://www.tradebit.commmer Chris Gore came in to the fold and the
line up was completed. The band quickly recorded five
songs. Within a month, Mark released our first single 45
rpm on Rockadelic a fuzzed-out punk psyche number that
became a classic for the Rockadelic label.

1989-Mark Migliore and Jim Edgerton soon split from the
band and started ''Fish Eye Lens'' and released one album
on Rockadelic https://www.tradebit.com Connelly, recent graduate of North Texas University, joined the band, handling vocals and bass guitar. Within what seemed like a brief moment in time, they worked up 13 new songs refining them over the next year.
Buying a Teac four-track reel-to-reel machine, we recorded
our first album (Visions)on the band''s lable ''Mind and Eye''. Rockadelic Records picked up the pressing and quickly sold out in one week.
Resonance Records, Holland, re-released
(Visions) pressing 4000 more albums, securing exposure all over Europe. The band''s popularity spread throughout the Deep Ellum clubs assuring them a spot at the Frye Street Fair opening for Reverend Horton Heat and The New Bohemians.

1990-91-Following the elation over the band''s initial album
(Visions) Burnin Rain set its sight on the second LP,
''Iwaska'', a 13-song original vinyl pressing featuring
local blues chanteuse, Cricket Taylor. "Dreams", a haunting ballad about a young girl not allowing her dreams to take her over the edge, always staying in perspective. Rockadelic Records pressed a limited edition of 300. Rarest of all the Burnin'' Rains'' records it often sells on Ebay for 40 dollars. same year, due to high demand, Rockadelic Records
Mark Migliore herded up his stable of local Dallas psyche
bands to a 16 track studio to create a classic Texas compilation of local heroes ''Lithium X-mas'',''Hash Palace'',''The Burnin'' Rain'' and Bag. Slammed hard by local ''musick'' writers this album quickly became
a favorite of many record collectors around the world.

1992-1993-After a shake-up in the band, Danny Connelly
his wife and child moved to Tyler, Texas. Bobby Faubion
took over the bass with his soulful, funky
style . Bobby''s talents quickly drove the group to a new
level with a cool groove infusing a fresh sound.
Mike Pemberton became the singer perfecting an album that would become, "Pictures in the Fire" .
Over the next year the group perfected the sound of this classic record destined to become one of their finest efforts. Andy Childs Of ''Hi Tex Studios'' produced the most definitive recording to date. Released again on
''Rockadelic Records'', international press boosted the band''s confidence. German record label, ''Music Maniac'' took notice of the band and re-released the album in Europe, selling over 5000 copies.
That self same year, Rockadelic Records, striking while
the iron was hot, released yet another vinyl project on
Colored Wax called "Sound Spectrum", containing many
of the band''s previously unreleased tunes,out-takes and demo garage cuts.
The tale of what became of ''The Burnin'' Rain'' will be revealed on the next release
of "Ritual Medicine Show", the band''s fourth album, a
future CD Baby project.
