Squirrel Mansion is a Philadelphian band formed by Squirrel Mike (ex Sharon Little, ex The Hustle) and drummer Tim Everly (ex a bunch of bands you''ve never heard of). All their tunage was recorded with a vintage Shure microphone and a stripped down, nuts-and-bolts Tama Swingstar drumkit that was found in the trash on 40th and Market. The band is gearing up to release a self-produced EP on iTunes in 2011. Employing the oldschool DIY work ethic, they are creating a retrosonic collection of bluesy in-your-face vocals paired with an ecletic landscape of instruments ranging from marimba, handsaw, piano, djembes, and found objects. So, chill out, take off your Chuck Taylors, forget about 7 A.M. and put on your party vest. You are always welcome at the Squirrel Mansion.
