Graham William Smith was born in Valparaiso, IN, and currently resides on the Northwest coast of Japan. Prone to fits of jealous rage and depression, this maniacal madman began playing guitar in the 7th grade when he realized he was not going to be a cross-country star.
Since then, he has found a refuge and outlet for expression in music and art. "Living with the indigenous peoples of Northwest Indiana gave me an opportunity to reflect on what really matters in life, and now living in Japan is giving me an opportunity to put those life lessons into practice," Smith once said at a backyard BBQ in Wheatfield, Indiana (not really).
Graham (really) has played in several bands including the punk band "Elicit" and the super group "The Wandering Jews." After the defunct-ness of these groups Smith began to focus on the singer/songwriter scene, teaming with other NWI talent to play live shows and open mics.
In short...Chicago boy in Japan. Midwest is best. Ex-pat Jack who misses his friends but always wants new experiences as fodder for the fire, and is really enjoying creating new music.
