Don''t let the name fool you, Acoustic Shadows music is definitely electric! Born under the Redwoods in the Santa Cruz Mountains, the all-original music is an intoxicating blend of powerful acoustic guitar, fierce electric lead guitar, and a rock solid rhythm section of drums and bass. Erik Rozite is the creative force behind the band, writing all the songs, singing, and playing his signature style of driving rhythm guitar. Paul Stevens, multi-talented drummer extraordinaire, and Bill Shaw on bass, hold down the rhythm section. Lead guitarist Tim Sanz completes the picture with his soaring and atmospheric leads.
Acoustic Shadows got its start when Mr. Rozite was offered the opening slot for Pat Travers at the famed Brookdale Lodge, in Brookdale, CA, not far from the band''s home base in Boulder Creek. After the success of this event, Erik decided to put more energy into his songwriting, and find the personnel to round out the sound he envisioned for Acoustic Shadows. After jamming with various musicians, he solidified the line up with Mr. Sanz, Mr. Stevens, and Mr. "Shadow Man" Shaw.
The group has released 4 CDs, 3 of them professionally recorded at local studios, and 1 self produced.

Acoustic Shadows has played many gigs in and around their Santa Cruz Mountain home area, and beyond. Ben Lomond''s famous "Henfling''s Tavern" is a favorite venue, and they have played there several times since their inception. Joe''s Bar in Boulder Creek is another favorite of theirs, where they are sometimes called the unofficial house band. Acoustic Shadows has also played The Brookdale Lodge several times, The Boulder Creek Art & Wine Festival, The 2010 Santa Cruz Beer Festival, The First and Second annual Drool Pigs Festivals, countless private parties and neighborhood "Shrimp Boils."
The title track "Wilson Street" was done in memory of a good friend Brian Rourke. "Good Ol Dog" is dedicated to all those good Ol Dogs from our past present and future!
