Why Don''t We Love Lucy is a danish/norwegian band based in Copenhagen. The band got together in May 2010 and has ever since worked goalminded towards a sound, style and the recordings of the debut-EP "CPH-OSL" released 4th of march 2011!
The band has been played at several different radiostations in Norway with the hit-song "With You" taken from their debut-EP.
In spring 2011 they got chosen in a contest arranged by Danish Radio P3 and Roskilde Festival to participate in "Karrierekanonen." Out of 935 applying bands, only 24 got through, with Why Don''t We Love Lucy to be one of them.
Other than crossing borders, is Why Don''t We Love Lucy also an interesting clash of 3 highly experienced and renowned danish musicians and a younger, more unknown norwegian singer.
The style is pop! With references from the newer clubscene as well as old school funk. The band writes, records, and produces all their songs their self. The mainfocus lies in a good melody, danceable beats, funky bass and catchy synth/guitar themes..!
The debut-EP is mixed by Peter Lehmann (Turboweekend, Rock Hard Power Spray, Rasmus Valther etc.) and mastered by Mikkel Gemzøe (When Saints Go Machine, L.O.C., Medina etc.)
