Alexandros Hahalis was born in Patras, Hellas (Greece) and moved to New York at the age of 20 where he studied classical & jazz composition at Aaron Copland School of Music
His music has been performed worldwide in various ways & venues:
His first solo synthesized work “Antithesis” was aired in 42 US states and in Europe via the syndicated show “New Sounds” of WNYC (NYC public radio), Music from the hearts of space, the WQXR of NY Times. In May of 1989 it reached the US top 25 charts of New Age / Electronic music airplay
...was commissioned to compose and perform for renowned painters and sculptors such as Yiannis Spyropoulos,(Hellas), Muramasa Kudo (USA), Masaaki Noda (Japan), W. Oliveira (Brasil))
…in ’93 his pioneer improvised recording “Unity” with his “all star” group “Earthbound” was released on Leo Records (UK) and was highly accepted by critics worldwide.
