Details:
William Scott, an artist of rare depth and sensitivity, challenging hip-hop, R&B and pop conventions weaving a new musical tapestry he calls “FreeSoul” music. It is a conscious music that addresses the issues he feels have been forgotten or overlooked yet are critical to any type of universal healing.

He is activist, philosopher, lover and friend in his writing, creating a winning soundscape of ideas and emotion infused with soul. William Scott has a mission and a message. As an artist he hopes to aid in uniting the African-American community through a movement he calls The Scott Free Movement, which focuses on dissolving stigmas and stereotypes that keep us divided and feeling powerless. Society as a whole can help with this mission that will pave the way to a universal liberation of all people, by refusing to buy into the negative images and generalizations that frequently flow from the media or people’s lack of knowledge regarding certain communities.

William Scott’s music bids intimacy from his listeners. Without a doubt, Scott continues the shining legacy of his hometown, Detroit, MI. He has been recording and performing since the age of fourteen. William Scott not only sings but is also a working songwriter, actor and visual artist with his own entertainment company – Artist Rites Enterprises, co-founded by long time friend and fellow artist Roystan Joseph.

As a songwriter he has a song in the movie “Two Weeks Notice,” with Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant. He has worked with artists such as “Bell Biv Devoe,” “Next,” “Monifah,” & producers, “The Buchannons,” “China Black,” “Red Head Kingpin,” "Spidaman," and “Doug E. Fresh.”

William Scott is the truth of his own life, glowing brightly through his artistry. To support William Scott and “The Scott Free Movement,” contact Artist Rites Enterprises at Artist Rites@https://www.tradebit.com. Help create the “change” in music and in life that we all want to see.
