Music is synonymous with life. I have been playing music for over 35 years. I grew up in Orchard Park, NY. I''m one of sixteen siblings, all from the same parents. I grew up in a musical household. I always remember hearing my older sisters play the piano and me mimicking them. I recall hearing my sister and her teacher playing, “ Rhapsody In Blue “ as a duet in a recital in our home. I started piano lessons around 9 years of age. I studied for about two years. A fews years latter in high school I studied music theory for 2 ½ years. After high school I joined the Army. I started playing music in the recreation halls and chapels of the US Army in Germany. I was recognized as solo musician of the year in 1980-81 for the US Army Nuermburg, Community.
I now reside in Brooklyn, NY. I started teaching children in my community music lessons, free of charge about 2 years ago. These children have been my inspiration in putting together a home studio and recording some music. “Christmas in Brooklyn,” is the 1st work from this studio. The art work for this project is entitled “My Community,” by Erikson (David) Calungsod who did this as a 2nd grade student at P.S. 253 in Brooklyn. His work was on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
