Aloha, My name is Mark Burnett. I currently entertain at Cheese Burger In Paradise, Thursday, & Monday, I Also Play at the Tradewinds Poolside Bar, at the Maui Coast Hotel in Kihei, and at Beach Bums in Maalaea, all on the beautiful island of Maui. I was born in Lonbranch, New Jersey on February 2, 1953. I have 4 brothers and 1 sister. My family moved back to Louisville, Kentucky where my relatives are originally from, when I was 6 months old where we lived until I was in the third grade. We then moved around for a couple of years to places like El paso, Texas and Fort Smith, Arkansas. Finally in a place called, Sunflower, Kansas. That is where I got my first guitar at the age of 12. I taught myself to play guitar. My inspirations are, Elvis Presley, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and countless others . I love all styles of music. Formed a band with my brothers. I was 13 years old when my brothers and I won our first Talent contest, at The Silver Spur Bar in Kansas City, Missouri. We won a radio spot on a local country radio station. I have been playing guitar & singing now for 46 years, and a professional musician for 39 years. I started playing professionally in Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 19. I played music all through the Midwest and Texas during the 70s & early 80s. Then my travels took me to the Great State of Alaska in 1981. I lived in Anchorage & Wasilla, and played music in most all the restaurants and bars in Anchorage and around the state of Alaska. I then moved to Maui and started playing at the Embassy Suites Hotel for about 2 years. And then landed a spot playing on the boat, Kaulana, a Cocktail Cruise out of the Lahaina Harbor for about 5 years. My next gig was at the Front Street Grill & Bar. I am now at venue I stated at the beginning. Some of the artist I Cover are: The Beatles, Eagles, John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Rolling Stones, Harry Chapin, Paul Simon, David Gray, Van Morrison, America, Eric Clapton, Arlo Guthrie, Paul McCartney , Crosby Stills & Nash, Carlos Santana, Sugar Ray ,Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Ray Vaughn to name a few. As well as my own Original songs. I have one CD, Titled Wishful Thinking Come see me Play Live on your next vacation to the Beautiful Island of Maui Mahalo and Aloha!
