When The Katie Sullivan Band was formed, the effect on the Chicago scene was intoxicatingly energetic, to say the least. Well known as an Irish pub-style folk rock band, the KSB developed their unique Celtic Rock style with their jam-band folk-rock instrumentals to create a genre-less new musical passion: FOLKADELIA!
Katie''s vocal style is passionate and entertaining, and inspired by Janis Joplin, Susan Tedeschi, and Bonnie Raitt. The band joined forces with Grammy- winning producer Michael Freeman to create a sound for this jam band who could not choose between Irish pub music, and psychedelic grooves.
The band and the concept grew, and the KSB experience continues to create a musical experience colorful, rootsy, and full of drive. Katie and the boys now play to sold out rooms in the Midwest.
