Indie Pop ensemble Trashed On Fiction are substituting the stagnant aggression in current music with a bright warm sound all their own with their latest release, "Showme/Showyou", something at first fragile, but keenly aware of it''s catchy strengths and acerbic lyrics. Dave Ruckel''s (Vocals/Guitars) Joe Jackson-esque baritone and angular guitar pays homage to the eclectic Pop, Punk, & Pub bands of the late 1970''s and early 80''s that influences their release. Rhythm section Eric Wendell (Electric Bass) & Eric Gottlieb (Percussion) simultaneously channel solid Motown grooves and a splashy sense of rhythm.
Local Indie Up-Start label, ESCHE Records, has "Showme/Showyou" set for an exciting summer release from their recent addition (fellow label mates include the quirky Space Robot Scientists, and critic faves The Repercussions). "Showme/Showyou" is an explorative "summery" new record that''s sure to be the soundtrack for many in 2005.
