Details:
Todd Zombie is no stranger to being kicked around, second-guessed, written-off, dismissed and hung out to dry. But he didn''t sulk like a little bitch, now did he? Fuck no, He sharpened his teeth and bit into the flesh of society. And you better fuckin'' believe he drew blood. This guy don''t play. He ain''t here to make you feel good about yourself. He''s not here to put a smile on your stupid face. He explores the dark side of life. The side that you don''t want to talk about with your high school sweetheart.

Zombie might have been like Ashlee Simpson at one time, living in the shadow of someone else''s dream. But he made a name for himself by attracting the attention of legendary producer and frontman of The Abandoned Nutsack, NNMaddox. The duo were joined by poet Jimmy Haig and Cut Off, Louisiana''s own, Reverend Ezell Jenkins and formed Georgia Home Boy.

Five GHB albums later, and appearances on 14mercy albums by Ringworm and Erin Smogor, Todd was ready to start recording his solo debut.

Todd Don''t Like Ugly is an album that most would agree is long overdue. After winning over fans as a member of Georgia Home Boy with his affection for all things ghoulish and his deep menacing growl, Todd Zombie became a cult hero. But following Jimmy Haig''s death and the demise of the band, Zombie went into a seclusion that prevented him from appearing on NNMaddox''s tribute album to the late poet.

After re-emerging in 2005, reconciling with Maddox and appearing on 14mercy releases, Todd Don''t Like Ugly began to take shape. The growl was gone, and a softer, smarter Todd was revealed.

Perhaps the most beautifully composed song on the album, "My Sweet Elena," is a tribute to the late Elena Hoyos, a woman whose body was disgraced by the obsessive necrophile Carl Von Cosel. Hard rock anthems like "Awestruck," "Dr. Dollar," and "Kick Out Of Me" show fans of the Georgia Home Boy Todd that he can still rock like he used to.

Todd also shows the world his versions of "Watch Me Bleed, "Bloodshot Eyes" and "Andy Wiggins." These songs were originally written by NNMaddox for Jade St. Pierre. Todd puts a powerful goth rock spin on all three of these classics.

And don''t think for a second Mr. Zombie is some kinda metalhead with no brain. He''s not gonna give you that tired heavy metal shit of putting your middle fingers in the air or doing the devil horn salute.

Instead, he drops some literature on your ass, with "The Soft Machine." This song was inspired by the late poet William S. Burroughs. Todd later envisions a scenario of a serial killer running loose in the Bronx, who happens to be one of his best friends in "Elephant Girl."

Todd Zombie is ready to emerge as a solo artist. He''s not so-and-so''s brother, he''s not the Georgia Home Boy guitar player who sings with the deep voice, he''s not the dude that obsessed with vampires and shit anymore. He''s Todd Zombie, rock star. Make way for people who wanna fuck him.
