Tom Weeber is joined by his wife Kitty (Katharina) on his new musical project. After appearing on the Paramount Productions, NBC TV Show, Life Moments the two decided to try to take Weeber''s songs to a new level.
Recorded at the legendary recording studio, Cherokee Recording. This project evolved from a home project studio to basic tracks and some overdubs recorded at Cherokee along with more overdubs at Weebtone Studios and mixed at Slideaway Studios in Shadow Hills California. This self produced CD is the follow up to Weeber''s first CD, Don''t Worry I Didn''t Quit My Day Job. This limited edition CD was the first project recorded at Weebtones studio.
These songs span several decades of writing as this writer singer left his music to join the corporate life and is now back, capturing the flavor of his music on The Seocnd Time Around. Songs written a number of years ago remain timeless and to the point.
This northern California music veteran brings a blend of country rock, pure acoustic songs and some straight up rock and roll sung by his wife Kitty. Along with a campy country tune about a couple that never gets any time together Throw The Ice Chest In The Bedroom rings true for so many people caught up in the day to day of work and family. Trying their best to squeeze in some time for themselves. Throw in the electric violin and you have a first class country tune waiting to be heard.
The haunting ballad Lonely Night, tells the story of love that is no longer here and the pain of being lost in the night reliving memories of the love now gone. Followed by a solid country rock ballad Santa Fe'' tells the tale of a romance that can not with stand the pressures of life on the road.
Heavenly Skies sends chills down your spine as this writer remembers and celebrates the life of his parents. Now gone but without question alive and well in this acoustic memorial to the life they lived and the joy and love they both left behind. Who would have thought acoustic guitars joined by a tasteful bass line and Accordion synth patch would be so touching.
Slip Away originally an acoustic electric rock ballad about a one night stand is turned up and rocks. The screaming guitars and a powerful B3 peppered with acoustic six and twelve string guitars all over it. The story says it all as this tune moves through a variety of changes and moods.
Don''t know when originally written in the 1970''s as this writer pondered the corporate life that he accidentally was thrown into. This is as timeless as one song could be. Just a little older and just a little wiser.
Three Little Angels was written for his three daughters as he moved through his time away from them due to a divorce. Accented by a Cajun style electric violin this songs is a story that is so often lived by those who have children and go through the pain of divorce and miss the children that brought them so much joy. Not being around for the every day events this song touches your heart.
The Dancer originally recorded in 1992 is an acoustic electric instrumental could be the back drop of a trip to the islands or a ride through the mountains of California. The harmonizing electric guitars tell the story as the acoustic 6 and 12 drive the rhythm of this up lifting instrumental
Living in Southern California with his wife Kitty, Weeber is shopping these songs in Nashville to country artist''s and in LA for Film and TV. He plans on putting the studio band back together and begin performing at local LA establishments. "Should we not have any luck placing the material we will have a wonderful recording that captured these songs forever". The band was by far the most talented group of musicians I have ever had the pleasure to work with. We look forward to gigging here in LA and enjoy getting up in front of a live audience again.
