Tha Truth''s music serves as inspiration for movements of equality, change, and progression. Hence the name of his highly anticipated debut album "Tha Civil Rights Movement." In addition to being a skilled and visionary rapper, he is an activist first and foremost. In 2006, Tha Truth met Relentless and Natural Disaster, the two other members of his group. Though shrouded in mystery, (the group claims to reside in a location referred to only as "Outside the Box") Tha Non Conformists music speaks volumes about what they represent. While bringing sonic mastery and skills comparable to or better than the most well known rappers, their music also gives you inspiration to do your part to help change the world. To listen to Tha Truth and Tha Non Conformists is to listen to what music is supposed to be - a venting outward of soulful expression - with a burning desire to make an impact on the world.

Far from a neophyte to the studio, Tha Truth has been recording songs for over 8 years. However, he lurked in the shadows developing his art and figuring out who he was for a long period of time. In the year 2000, he realized what many had been telling him for so long - that his anger over his many misfortunes in life was just a cycle of negativity. At this point he began making more thoughtful and insightful music. Previously he had been making rap songs rife with violence, arrogance, ignorance, and a lack of creativity. Despite this achievement, he came to believe no one wanted to hear his recordings, and so he kept them mostly to himself. He always felt ahead of his time and extremely different from most other people. These thoughts were reinforced as George Bush was elected president of The United States in 2000 despite obvious chicanery in the voting process. He then watched in anger and frustration as a war in the Middle East began based on the threat of non existent Weapons of Mass Destruction. As he witnessed the war wage on for years with seemingly little dissent, Tha Truth felt as though he had no purpose in life. He felt defeated by a world that was hopeless.

During this time he sought purpose in the chance to use his compassion, drive, and desire to help people by working for "non-profit" organizations. These experiences only further pushed Tha Truth down into spiritual despair, as he found the heads of these organizations were up to no good and were in fact for profit. He quit jobs because he could not work for organizations he no longer believed in. He tried to get other jobs, but his heart wasn''t in it any more.

Finally, in 2004, when George Bush was re-elected after a war that was clearly proven to be started from a lie, Tha Truth hit rock bottom. He felt he could no longer be silent as things continued to spiral downward. He had seen the world sink in a dark storm of gloom for many years, and he became determined to use his strength to try to lift it up to a better place (hence the logo). For years he had been silent when witnessing ignorance, as he was waging a battle with himself in not being who he truly was. He bit his tongue in efforts to not offend those who believed strongly in the lies that we are told and conditioned into believing.

However, in 2006 he realized "It''s Time" for Tha Truth to be told and discovered. He realized by not believing he could make a difference, he was standing in his own way. It wasn''t that he couldn''t make a difference; he just hadn''t found his destiny yet. He now seeks to inspire millions of others to do all they can in the struggle for equality, tolerance, education, and better distribution of resources.

Tha Truth''s energy and spirit is akin to a storm, and he is putting it all into his music to spark change in people''s minds. His musical talent and versatility, coupled with his compassion, wisdom, determination, and creativity are a formidable combination; all are being utilized in his music to awaken those who are distracted from what is truly important in the world.

He is now letting everyone know why things are the way they are... and ways we can begin to change them for the better. He cannot stop because he knows that when one person struggles, we all struggle. He knows we must judge society not by those with the most, but by those with the least. He also feels we must judge humanity by how those who have the most genuinely help those who have the least.

Rather than joining an organization that may have a hidden agenda (like pocketing their donations), he realized he could be the one to get money and distribute it himself. Just as importantly, he now knows that he can awaken countless others that can do the same, and the goodwill and positive vibes can become contagious. The sky is the limit for Tha Truth and the people who support him and what he stands for. He calls these people honorary members of his group "Tha Non Conformists."

There will be no fancy cars, mansions, jewels, or big screen TVs for Tha Truth. He will be using the money he makes to give to people who do not have decent living conditions. He aims to raise money not for himself, but for those that rich people and world "leaders" are not helping.

By not revealing what he looks like, Tha Truth is forcing those who encounter his music to judge him for what he has to say and not his appearance. Because they cannot see him, they cannot judge him by anything but the content of his charachter, which is conveyed in his music. One of his influences, Martin Luther King Jr., had a dream that we would judge others not by their appearance, but by who they were inside... and Tha Truth''s strategic actions force people to realize that this is the way the world should be. Sadly, music has become a fashion show where looks and clothes have become perhaps more important than talent, and this revolutionary rap artist is exposing this disturbing trend by seeking to break away from it all together.

Tha Truth''s debut album promises to be one of the most ground breaking albums in not only hip hop but music history. This is because this man not only comes to the table as an extraordinarily talented musician, but also as a dynamic civil rights leader. When people hear Tha Truth''s album on October 20th, they will hear the future of not only music but ethnic relations, social awareness, and the civil rights movement. Great music, irrefutable expression, and conveyance of truth cannot be stopped. It is up to the world to recognize what is already here. "It''s Time" for "Tha Civil Rights Movement" to rock the world. Though some say ignorance is bliss, this rising rap star will tell you it is a cowardly delusion, which leaves only one question... Can U Handle Tha Truth?
