Zak Williams & 1/Akord was formed in April of 2004 by Founder Zak & Co-Founder his Wife LaTonya Williams. 1/AKORD consists of 30 individuals from Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey,Maryland from various denominations united together to uplift the word of God through song. The spiritual covering for this music ministry is Bishop Mary Alexander.
Although the choir has been together 1 year they have been blessed to minister with some of Gospel music''s finests artist: JMoss, Ricky Dillard & New G, James Hall & Worship & Praise, Pastor Hezekiah Walker, Pastor Shirley Ceasar Just to name a few. In June and again in august the choir taped segments of Bobby Jones Presents soon to be aired on the Word Network. . 1/Akord''s first live recording was held on Monday, February 21, 2005 at Ford Memorial Temple in Philadelphia, PA. The recording included a performance by Tunesha Crispell, special guest director Professor James Hall, Bishop Mary Alexander and a special appearance by the renowned Dr. Bobby Jones.

The vision of this ministry is simple: Soul-Winning! Our focus is to transcend the norm of the “community choir” genre, to be more than just a choir, but a ministry. This ministry will not resemble average singing units as in the past. This will be a ministry based on the infallible Word of God, demonstration of the Holy Spirit, and Holy living. All of which operate “exclusively” through the unconditional love of God.
Although singing is what we do, it is not the premier PURPOSE of our coming together. Our purpose is to minister to the lost and to encourage the discouraged believer to believe again. We shall use our musical abilities and gifts as instrumentation to win souls to Christ.
