--Mississippi River Nursery Rhyme
Born in the dining coach of a hurtling steamer train in the foothills of boot-heel Missouri, crooked letter i (nee Benjamin Bogue Pranger) came of age along the Mississippi and has a long history of living near rivers. Formerly of Baltimore''s acclaimed Payola Reserve, he now scours that damp stretch of concrete called the LA River, sniffing for clues, keeping appointments and delivering strange amalgams of desert folk, Appalachian soul and psychedelic Americana.
“Forever Blue” is the soundtrack to Abigail Bean’s film of the same name, a mysterious and wistful vignette set in the American Southwest of the 1950’s, a place of desolate beauty and lost innocence. Trouble ensues and the past reemerges when a trio of sultry vixens form a gang and set out to rob a roadside gas station...
