Details:
This is a "Best Of" CD, including music previously recorded on CD''s 2-6. Also included is a new drum song, WADADUGA (Dragonfly) as well as a spoken narrative about the birth of the White Buffaloes as well as a folk version of White Buffalo with guitar and drum.

WADADUGA (the Dragonfly) represents change & new ways. This change is in emotional & mental maturity - the maturity of understanding the deeper meaning of life. It represents the vision of discovery of our ability to live life to the fullest. By living each day with deeper meaning we honor the past & prepare for a better future. This change represents understanding who we are by reaching out to find our full potential.

The Dragonfly’s vision represents the vision & ability to see beyond what we have always done to what we can do. With clear vision we can look to WADADUGA to remind us to see beyond our limitations. We all need to have our own personal vision. Our visions need not be building empires or being famous. It can be deeper understanding of being the best we can be in whatever we do, wherever we go.

Unfortunately, so many of our young people do not see the true potential in themselves & they have no vision. It’s like the words to a song, “What are we leaving for our grandchildren?” We need to think seriously on these words. If we can learn to see our true potential & pass this maturity on to the next generation then we will be able to understand what WADADUGA truly represents.

We often hear the question, “Which one is your favorite CD?” People have suggested it would be good to compile some of our favorite songs. We decided to do just that along with Dragonfly’s teaching of change & trying something new.

A long time ago a Tsalagi elder said, “Always remember Our People’s songs are stories, they are prayers. The spirit of the music speaks to the spirit of the listener.” We’ve never forgotten those words. We thank you all for your encouragement & belief in our music.
