So I enlisted the help of Paul and Ryan Little, amazing gypsy jazz and blues musicians. Kim Weitkamp is an award winning, Internationally touring singer, songwriter and storyteller. Kim has 4 albums with "Pickle in the Middle Blues" being the first one for kids. Kim performed cut number four off of the album at the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, TN. That performance was recorded and has been played on Sirius XM Radio. Several of the songs featured on the album have been played on the WVCE program "Time for the Blues" , a public radio station.
All of the material on the CD is original except for the story, "Work Then Play", which is Kim''s modern version of the old folktale, "The Ant and the Grasshopper".
Kim has been telling stories and writing songs for audiences of all ages for over 20 years. She has performed in theaters and also storytelling and music festivals around the country. Her quick wit, care of the audience, impeccable comedic timing and heartfelt stories make for a ''hear a pin drop'' performance with moments of raucous laughter.
