I sing and play the guitar but I love to write songs. It is my life’s dream to some day be a Country Music song writer. I’m not necessarily looking to become a big time Country Music Star, but I would love to write for them. Years back, I was in one of Johnny Paycheck’s opening acts and have been fortunate enough to meet Artist like keith urban, Steve Azar and Big Kenny at a wedding. I would love to sit down with an artist like one of them and make music. It was once quoted to me, that if something isn’t worth fighting for then it wasn’t worth having. I have lived my life like that ever since. I know that I’ve got a lot to learn about this business but you’ve got to start somewhere. I’m ready!
“Slow and Steady.” I wrote this song after having one of those days that just started off wrong and seemed would never end. When you have days like that, you just have to keep on going. Remind yourself that it’s okay because when you get away from it, there is always a way to shake it off and get your mind right. I’ve been getting a real education during this project. The first of many more I hope. I get in the studio every chance that I can. I would like to thank some really great people that have helped me through this. First of all, my wife Michelle for inspiring me to write and for supporting me as I chase this dream. Alex Vazquez, who has helped me with the setting up of my web page and the behind the scenes stuff. And for rallying support to come out and listen to me sing. If you ever want to start something like this, I’d say to call Alex first. Also I would like to thank, John Whelpley for delivering an awesome lead guitar piece for “Slow and Steady”. Last but not least, The Team down at Unity Gain Recording Studio for helping bring this song from paper to sound. I hope that everyone likes the outcome and don’t forget that when things aren’t going your way, just take it “Slow and Steady”!
