''Discovery'' is a solo piano album by Mika Pohjola, originally recorded at home in East Village, New York City in 1998. The tape was lost for twelve years, and found and re-mastered in 2010. With the exception of the opening and closing tracks, the music is all improvised. The opening track, "Mood 4.30 A.M.", is a multitrack recording with three piano layers. The 11-track recording is an intimate portrait which is attainable only in a relaxed home recording atmosphere.
