DAVID ORTIZ comenzó a cantar profesionalmente a la temprana edad de nueve años. Por muchos años se presentó en varios programas de radio y televisión latinoamericana, al igual que en varios hoteles y centros nocturnos de renombre internacional. Durante esta época grabó para las compañÃas disqueras Montilla, RCA Victor, United Artists, Epic y Columbia/CBS (SONY).
No obstante, fue durante un momento de crisis personal - mientras cantaba en México con el TrÃo Los Panchos y el continuo uso de las drogas afectaba su matrimonio y carrera artÃstica - que David hizo la mejor decisión de su vida, al entregarle su corazón a Jesucristo.
Hoy dÃa, por la gracia de Dios, David es un cantante y compositor cristiano, predicador y maestro de la Biblia. Ha sido un invitado especial en el conocido programa de televisión, The 700 Club, de la cadena televisiva CBN del Dr. Pat Robertson, al igual que en otros programas de radio y televisión, incluyendo Trinity Broadcasting Network.
En el género de la música cristiana, David tiene doce CDs grabados, incluyendo uno en inglés; y ha colaborado en varios proyectos musicales de tipo humanitarios para ayudar a establecer orfanatos y otras instituciones benéficas para los niños en la República Dominicana, El Salvador y México. Es Ministro Ordenado del Concilio General de Las Asambleas de Dios y un invitado frecuente de La Fraternidad Internacional de Los Hombres Cristianos de Negocios, cuyo propósito es el de presentarle el evangelio a profesionales y otros ejecutivos de altos niveles, gobernantes y, con frecuencia, presidentes de varios paÃses.
Aunque, tal vez, más conocido como el cantante del famoso cántico, "EL TICKET", y un respetado cantante y compositor dentro de la música cristiana, David es, también, un elocuente predicador del evangelio, conferencista, intérprete y maestro de la Palabra de Dios. Posee una MaestrÃa en Divinidad del distinguido seminario teológico, Union Theological Seminary, afiliado a Columbia University y ha enseñado en varias instituciones teológicas. Además, es un dinámico autor y ha escrito para varias revistas, incluyendo "Decision Magazine" del Dr. Billy Graham.

DAVID ORTIZ began to sing professionally at the age of nine. However, it was during this time that David got caught up in the world of drugs and his marriage was at the brink of collapse. Yet, it was while he was singing alongside Latin America''s most famous recording group that he had a life-changing experience that brought him to Jesus Christ.
Today, David is a highly respected and accomplished evangelist, Christian singer, composer and a masterful teacher of the Word of God. He has been a featured guest on the highly acclaimed CBN television program, The 700 Club, the Trinity Broadcasting Network, and other well-known radio and television programs throughout The U.S. and Latin America.
Although known throughout the Spanish-speaking Christian world as one of our best Christian vocalists, David is also a prolific writer, having written for such distinguished international publications as Dr. Billy Graham''s, "Decision Magazine".
In addition, he has also released numerous Christian recordings and has collaborated on many humanitarian projects to help feed the hungry and establish orphanages throughout various parts of Latin America and has been a frequent worldwide guest of the Full Gospel Businessmen''s International Fellowship, a Christian organization that brings God''s Word to top professionals, and other high-level executives, entrepreneurs, and distinguished government officials, including world dignitaries and various presidents of Spanish-speaking countries.
Within the world of academia, David holds a Master of Divinity degree from the prestigious Union Theological Seminary, Columbia University''s School of Theology in New York.
