The 12 songs presented here have been honed and polished in secret over a period of 20 years. This is the finished article; not a tentative exploration of style, but a resounding Classic Album.
The Speed Of Sound has a unique style driven by a clean ringing Rickenbacker 620 12-string that is not afraid to step on the distortion pedal when it is needed, given a perfect counterpoint by the tubed-up Danelectro ’63 bass, expressive percussion and sweeping languid vocals: A classic form presented with new bight.
