I have always felt a certain erotic connection with this darkly festive celebration, perhaps the life force becomes more sharply focused when presented with it’s polar opposite, perhaps it’s the cooler temperatures that accompany the changing of the season which draws us to the warmth of a lover or maybe it’s just the anonymity of a costume that allows us to explore some of our hidden desires.
