Damaul is the oldest of eight siblings of his parents. He was born at the Spanish Town Hospital, in Spanish Town, Jamaica West Indies. He loves to Write as well sing all genres of clean and positive gospel music. He started singing at just four years old. When he was six, Damaul sang a popular song by the Grace Thriller called “Can’t even Walk without your holding my hands” on Power 105.1FM, one of the most famous radio stations in Jamaica. He attended Church with his grandmother every Sunday, just like the majority of young boys in Jamaica would back in those days. Damaul Francis attended the Mineral heights primary School, in the parish of Clarendon. Damaul Francis baptized at the age of thirteen. He was member of the Halse hall Seventh-day Adventist Church located in May Pen, Clarendon. He graduated from Mineral heights Primary School in 1998; he attended Clarendon College High School, where he studied for one and a half year. He migrated to the United States of America in the year 2001. He attended the Samuel J. Tilden High School in Brooklyn. He worked at the Cross Road Bedding and Furniture Corporation, after school hours. He visited nursing the homes in Brooklyn, and he is involved in community services, helping and feeding the needy in his community. Damaul graduated from High School in 2006. In 2007, he attended the Kingsborough community College. Presently he attends the borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) where he studies (VAT) Video art & technology and a minor in Business management. In the future, he hopes to own is own video and recording production company.
At present Damaul Francis has ministered in music throughout the entire five boroughs of New York City, and all of the tri-states he has ministered in various other states in the United States of America other states such as New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida, Wisconsin, Chicago, and Rhoads Island, just to name few. Damaul began recording in 2009 but more seriously in 2010. Music in general as always played an important part in Damaul life. Growing up music was his way of staying out of trouble. “Music is the healing of the world’’; he stated a radio interview on 96.7fm in 2009. He said, “Music is like a therapy to my sinful soul and this remedy allows me to glimpse myself as a role model to my peers, and I want help people believe that their dreams can really come through”. His greatest influences came from the 1990’s. From the likes of Bob Marley “one love”, Michael Jackson “we are the world” and others. Damaul currently has a couple of songs on the scene, “Courage to stand”, “Mama”, and “back on my knees” just to name a few. These songs show the transition from traditional black gospel to the future. Damaul finish recording his Single entitled “Courage to stand” and his debut album in 2010 called “Manner of Devotion & Praise Gospel Anthology vol. 1” which includes a remixed version his hit single “Courage to stand”. His songs are being played on radio stations in the United States of America, England, Canada, Germany, and South America and in the Caribbean. The official single that is link to the effort confirmed as “courage to Stand”. This single is full of unity and it encourages people to take a stand for Jesus.
Damaul Francis was awarded the Hopeton Lewis U.S.A Caribbean Awards in the category Top New Artiste of the year 2010. He has excelled in recognitions on November 27 2010 when he was awarded the “New York State Senate Citation” honoring him exemplary service within the state of New York. In addition, he was awarded the “City Council Citation” from The Council of The City of New York and, the New York State Assembly award “Certificate of Merit” in recognition of achievement with (CCN) Community Concerns Network. He also started co- hosting a radio program with Gospel recording artist Devon Johnson on voices of praise international radio 88.9fm in 2010. Damaul Francis was nominated for best New Artist of the year in Atlanta for Atlanta Caribbean Gospel Music Awards 2010... He is an energetic vocalist, and he has an inspiration experience with God. His goal for this generation his to reach lost dying souls. He is currently working on his new album called “live on”. This album will be launching soon He is in the talks of working with top music producers, who see the potential in him making a mark of arrival in the gospel ministry right now to win soul for God’s kingdom. Growing up in a complex and experimental setting gives him the ability and eager to write inspirational healing and heart mending lyrics that brings his music to the next level. His upcoming efforts will be a beginning of better and bigger things to come.
