PRODUCER: Ron Hardy aka Tarumbae- Timbales, Congas, Percussion and Vocals
Ron released his first 12” single in San Francisco, CA as Tarumbae and the Rydim Rockers in 1986 through his own publishing company, Utopia West Creations (BMI). Ron shook up the reggae world with his brand of funky reggae. He moved to Finland in 1992 through 1996 where he continued his musical journey. He performed with the reggae band Saganor for 4 years alongside Mike Thomas formerly of the Mighty Pyramids of Jamaica .During that time, he also released “ Book Three Synthesis” with No Explanation featuring Ron Hardy which received national rotation air play in Finland. He has won several regional awards for his contribution in music and the arts here in Northwest Louisiana (2004 Shreveport Regional Arts Council Music Fellowship Award, as well as the 2006 Multi-Media Fellowship Award). Ron is a voting member of the Recording Academy and has been a member of BMI since 1986. Ron has used his musical talent and expertise to inspire as well as teach underserved urban youth the nuts and bolts of the music industry through his program “The Urban Music Workshop” sponsored by the arts organization he founded in 1997 called “Playaz and Playettes, Inc,” which won the “2004 Governor’s Art Award for Outstanding Small Arts Organization in the State of Louisiana”. Ron is a dynamic performer, a seasoned recording artist, songwriter and producer as well as a percussionist extraordinaire.

PRODUCER: Stanley “Macon” Robinson– Bass, Vocals and Keyboards
Stanley is the son of the late Charles Robinson, a Baptist Minister and renowned Gospel singer. He began singing at the age of 5 at churches and gospel events. Stanley a self-taught musician has toured and performed with such artist as The Drifters, The Platters, The Tokens, ConFunkShun, Morris Day and Ready for the World. After a long stay in New Orleans, Stanley returned to Shreveport in 1992 where he has become one of the premier hip/hop and R&B producers in this area. Stanley was a founding member of Wind Storm, Shreveport’s most celebrated R&B band. Stanley is on the Shreveport Regional Arts Council Artist Rooster and works with underserved urban youth in Shreveport as a producer/engineer and teacher at Playaz and Playettes, Inc.

PRODUCER: Gerard Johnson– Drums
:A Shreveport native, Gerard Johnson played the Snare Drums and was Section Leader for Woodlawn High School Marching Band. He went on to play with Southern University of Baton Rouge, LA Marching Band. He toured with Tropical Steel Vibes based in Atlanta, Georgia on bass guitar from 1990 to 1996. His CD releases include: “A One Man Band in 1999” and “Next Time” in 2007 on the ENTUNE Music record label.

April Lenford aka Lotti Green– Vocals
The baby girl of the bunch, Lotti Green first discovered her love for music at the age of seven while singing in the church choir. Lotti Green was born in Houston, TX, but her roots are buried right here in the heart of Shreveport. Lotti Green produced her first track at the age of sixteen, and then later took up some keyboard lessons from Amelio Archie of “That’s All We Do Entertainment” based out of Houston, TX. Lotti Green, and her talented way of expressing herself, received the opportunity to work with several different companies and artist such as MC Spud of New Orleans, Unmasked of Shreveport, China Redd of 2 Fire Records, Blue Diamond Productions, JMG Records, Money Hungry Records, Bank On It Records based out of New Orleans, and many more. In 2005, Lotti Green meet Ron Hardy of Red Beans and Rice Productions. He introduced Lotti Green to a whole new culture and style of music. Also through The Urban Music Workshop, Lotti Green has been able to share with students her knowledge on the basic formats of performing and writing music.

The Louisiana G-FUNK Family:
The Louisiana G-FUNK Family is a multi-facetted group of seasoned vets in the music game. Their various backgrounds and experiences add to the flavor of the Louisiana Musical Gumbo that this group cooks up. The core of the group is comprised by Ron Hardy (God Son of the G-FUNK) aka Tarumbae / congas, percussion and vocals, Stanley “Macon” Robinson / bass, vocals and keyboard, Gerard Johnson/ Drums, Joe Raimer/ guitar and vocals. The solo music of each of these individuals has stood the test of time and together they are a powerhouse of musical energy and artistic excellence which can be heard live or on one of their recordings.
The group plays original songs as well as evergreens that seem even greener when played by the Louisiana G-FUNK Family. They weave in and out of roots, funk, reggae, rock and soul as well as jazz and country. Their motto which was coined by James Brown is “What ever we play, it’s got to be Funky.” The Louisiana G- FUNK Family is a treat for your eyes as well as your ears and is sure to get you movin’ and groovin’!!!!!

Additional singers and rappers appearing on this C D : Mister Sullivan, Sarah Wilkerson, Big Poppa, Untamed Mayne, Flu Flu, Off Da Blocc, Rocko, Osibisaad Hardy, Pyqkle Head and Joe Raimer all are currently living in Shreveport Louisiana.
