Details:
Singer/Songwriter Sarah Green writes songs about life from Long Beach, California, and though she hardly admits to it, grew up in the Southern part of California. In 2004, her desire to find life outside of the Orange County bubble prompted her to move to Northern California in hopes of finding some sign of life, and she did. A summer spent in between the trees of Yosemite California, inspired her to baptize her depression in an emergence of music that would move people. "Even though Ive been living, it doesnt mean Im alive," the dark lyrics from her hook-driven twenty-something anthem The Living explain that ongoing battle to find yourself in the middle of nowhere. After spending the summer writing what would soon become the soundtrack to her life, Sarah re-located just outside of Los Angeles, in a city that would welcome her undeniable talent. Drawing influence from artists like Jeff Buckley, Sarah McLachlan, and Elliott Smith, Sarah has channeled and refined such brilliance with a unique style all her own. Whether alone with her guitar, or fronting a mix of talented musicians, the magnetism and appeal Sarah has from behind her guitar is both compelling and genuine. Her melodies are haunting and catchy, counterbalancing her ability to unravel emotions using dissonant chords. Her words and songwriting make a listener feel like they have known her forever, and if you''re not into introspective material, the ethereality of her vocals will have you talked into becoming and instant and forever kind of fan.

In November of 2005, Sarah played to a sold out crowd at The CoachHouse in San Juan Capistrano Ca. It was there that she met Robin DiMaggio ( drummer for David Bowie, Tracy Chapman, Paul Simon ) and Bill Pfordresher ( recording industry executive and founder of Songcast ) who would eventually produce Sarahs debut album Emergency. The credits for Emergency also feature such talents as Michael Bearden on piano (Yoko Ono, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder) and the mysterious vocals of Indian violinist L. Shankar on the covertly religious track Bullets & Bibles. Sarah remains humble about her opportunity to share and record the most intimate part of her life with such over-qualified talent backing her, her first time in the studio. But Sarah is not new to the scene of accomplished players. In 2003 she joined the Vans Warped Tour in an all female quartet called Relish, and shared the stage with bands such as Pennywise, 311, The Donnas, and NOFX. Sarah toured the Western United States as a bass player for the band, learning the routine of a touring musician. It is that period of time Sarah credits for the genesis of her solo career, and her desire to be on as many stages in as many cities as possible.

Sarahs debut album Emergency was recorded at Capital Studios in Hollywood, California in May of 2006, and was released in September by the songwriter herself. Sarah has played persistently from San Diego to Northern California, steadily building her fan base through her riveting performances. The biggest attribute of Sarah Greens music is its ability to expose Sarah from the inside out, offering an audience a performer who they can connect to. She continues to expand her faithful following by word of mouth at a grassroots level, and has established a mutual relationship with her fan base through mediums such as MySpace, online journaling, and touring. Because of her fan loyalty, she is loved in demographics outside of her immediate surroundings. So she is continuing with her plan to embark on a coffeehouse and storyteller friendly venues tour through such cities as Portland, Seattle, Phoenix, and Las Vegas, for the first few months of 2007 in efforts to further the promotion of Emergency.
