In the mist of it all a star resides. SalaamEl, a.k.a Stix, turns his radio up to the highest level when he hear Jay-Zs song "All I Need," and starts performing it as if it was his own. He then grabs his pen and pad and start writing his own version. Amazed at his skills, he feels really high of himself saying, "Hova dont want none!" Yeah!!!
Stix was born and raised on July 13'' 1983 in Watts, California. If your reading this your saying "Oh my gosh, not another Westcoast artist. It''s not what you think Trust me!!! (Back 2 the story) Stix didnt start of rapping, he was a athlete. With scholarships up the butthole in highschool, Stix couldn''t manage to pass the SAT test. Stix then tried to attend Jr. College to pursue his athletic career, But due to the problems of low income, living in the streets ang grinding, Stix had to drop out of college. It took a minute but Stix gathherd himself together spiritually and mentally, hanging tough with close friends "The NBA", Badlucc, and Halla(up-coming westcoast artist). They got together everyday writing songs, recording local mixtapes, and competing with each other on lyrical level. Now Stix has paved his way to become one of raps biggest i-cons ever.
What does Stix bring to the table??? Well, aside from rapping, he has other businesses along with other investments he''s working on. Stix has a documentary he co-written and co-producing called "Westcoast Krumpin" (The Evolution of Hip-hop dance) he''s working on right now. Stix is also the C.E.O of the Cartoon Family dance group(Cartoon Family were featured on Missy Elliots video "Im really Hot" Outkast video "I like the way" and the Sprite remix, K-swiss, Sony Mp3 player, and Go-Phone commercials. Stix is C.E.O of KoBuU promotions and marketing, and is partnered up with a casting agency. Not only is Stix a artist he is an "artistprenuer."(entreprenuer)
