Scambooty was born three years ago at a recording session in Los Angeles.
While singing together, Steve Coon, Kathy Coon and Mandi Stanley discovered that their voices and irreverent senses of humor blended so well, they couldn''t resist the idea of starting a comedy music trio.
So they did...that night! They''ve been writing and performing together ever since.
Their debut CD is entitled, "Please.....No Dancing!".
Their newest CD is entitled, "Have a Bootyful Christmas".
STEVE COON is the front man in Scambooty, doing his best to distract the audience while the girls are busy laundering money and racketeering.
Steve earned a degree in telecommunications from San Diego State for no apparent reason.
He then strapped on a guitar and dedicated his life to singing and song writing; performing on television, radio and concert stages from coast to coast, narrowly escaping fame and fortune.
While Steve''s hilarious songs, expressive lead vocals and easy-going wit are the cornerstone of the Scambooty je ne sais quoi, his most appreciated talent lies in his uncanny ability to select the perfect rehearsal wine.
MANDI STANLEY comes from a background in theater arts, standup comedy, rock & roll and oral surgery.
But then, who doesn''t? An immensely gifted lyricist/insomniac, all Mandi requires is a topic, a pencil and a bad night''s sleep and POW! ya'' got yourself a bonafide bootytune.
She''s the only member of the band who''s not married to Steve.
KATHY COON is Scambooty''s vocal arranger, song editor, co-writer and all-around nit picker.
A classically trained pianist, her attention to detail sets the standard of excellence found in each Scambooty performance.
Kathy is like a musical chef: adding, kneading, blending and nurturing to make sure that every Scambooty performance comes out perfectly half-baked.
