Details:
The concept of this collection is a gift from God! "The Organ At Worship" is a recording that demonstrates the musical capabilities of the organ, to be sure, but also shows the power of the organ as an act of praise to God. The centerpiece of the CD, Kodaly''s "Organ Mass," is pure musical worship. I invite you to sit and listen undisturbed, letting the music just wash over you. The texts of this amazing work are well suited for personal prayer and meditation. They fit the music perfectly. These texts and more detailed information about this CD may be found at my website, https://www.tradebit.com. I hope this music will provide you with your own unique spiritual experience. To that end, it is presented Soli Deo Gloria (to the glory of God alone).

SCOTT LAMLEIN is a concert organist whose performances bring a spiritual and emotional inspiration to his audiences. Combining keyboard technique, showmanship and a strong faith, Scott explores the infinite range of expression that only the pipe organ provides. Scott serves as Director of Music Ministries at Wesley United Methodist Church, in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he is responsible for continuing an exceptional tradition of choral music for all ages, fine hymn singing, and masterworks performed on the IV/73 1927 E.M. Skinner pipe organ. He is also Artistic Director of Wesley''s Music Alive! Concert Series, and an adjunct faculty member of the Pakachoag Community Music School, in Auburn, Massachusetts. He has been an active organ recitalist for over ten years. Originally from Holyoke, Massachusetts, Scott took his first church position at the age of fifteen. He holds a degree in organ and liturgical music from the Hartt School at the University of Hartford. His first CD, "In Quiet Joy: Music of Advent and Christmas," was released in 1997, and he also appears on the CD, "Great Organs of Worcester" (2005).
