BIOGRAPHY
Chris’ music finds its roots in the Beatles, James Taylor, and the bebop jazz his father played and listened to all his life. His music is designed to transport you, maybe to a time or place that makes you forget about the day’s trials and challenges. It is good rock n’ roll, at times jazzy, and always good entertainment!

Chris took up the drums at a very early age. He’s really playing on the CD’s cover photo. At age 2 he was performing Elvis to anyone that would listen. He learned how to play the drums while watching his father’s jazz band rehearse at his home. The wonderful drummer in that group, Jack Broughton, eventually sold his drums to Chris. Those are the drums he’s playing on in the photo, and the ones he used many years in his rock n’ roll bands. Singing is also a great enjoyment to Chris and it continued to evolve throughout his childhood and adult life. Taking up the guitar in college he began to find his true voice. After singing behind the drums in numerous rock bands he pursued a solo acoustic guitar act which featured his voice. Songwriting led to recording, which led to the creation of Heart of a Boy.

Chris has played music all over the country, both as a drummer/singer, and guitar musician/singer in music that ranged from Dave Brubeck style jazz, original rock and roll, to acoustic romantic easy listening. He has played in intimate cocktail lounge settings, to state fair venues with thousands of listeners. His unique, comfortable, engaging music and voice has garnered many fans.
