YellowCave is a chilean band formed in 2008 when Rafael and Tomás Salas were joined by Matías Zúñiga to record an album. The creative process was fast, and by the end of that year they already have recorded most of the album in their own home studio. The album was later modified with the inclusion of new tracks and mastered at Tito Astete studios.
After the production and mastering of the album, they invited Pablo Serrano to join them on bass. Pablo, a childhood friend of Rafael, was very excited about the YellowCave project. With the inclusion of Pablo they reenforce their live sound and are now playing at different local venues.
The album, consisting of 12 songs, travels through differents styles and rythms, all of them driven as much by powerful guitar riffs as by soft piano melodies.
The band, fully formed now, is looking to take their music to new horizons and would be very excited to share it with the world.
Their style could be defined as Pop/Rock with great influence from British old school and modern music, such as The Beatles, George Harrison, Yes, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Coldplay, among other artists.
