Faced with the challenge of having to raise $500 to cover the initial cost of my new Maxi Single CD project, I set out with a plan to raise the money on the internet. So, I selected social media sites to make an appeal to people across the country for financial donations. It was a daunting task to say the least. I sent out hundreds, literally hundreds, of email appeals in hopes of garnering financial support from complete strangers. Now my marketing strategy was twofold. First, I wanted to raise money for my project. Second, I wanted to record their opinions of my music and the new artwork for my CD cover.
After 30 days but less than 45 days, by the grace of God, I was successfully able to raise $860 from kind hearted strangers who are now my friends and executive producers of the project. Some are financial contributors toward the completion of the project.
This is my testimony that faith without works is dead. I put in a lot of hard work and I was rewarded for my hard work. This tells me that despite all the negativity that’s going on in and around the world, there are still good kind hearted people. People who will come to the aid of those who need assistance if you present yourself to them respectfully, with kindness, being sensitive, patient, and not being overbearing.
To God I give all the Glory, the Honor, and the Praise. Out of the hundreds of emails I sent, it only took nine people around the country that donated monies that exceeded my initial goal.
