Details:
Jason has been strumming the guitar, banging the drums and kissing the mic professionally for over 15 years. Starting out about 17 years ago Jason sung in various cover bands, the most succesful being Kanga Rock, playing 100% aussie rock covers at various pubs, clubs and parties.

Since then Jason has recorded and produced several albums, including an a-capella series, two contemporary gospel albums, (with which he toured successfully in the US), and his latest folk/rock EP Weekend Away.

A receptive audience at a support gig for Renee'' Geyer encoureged Jason to record the 6 track EP Weekend Away. Michael Ward from Acorn Productions, was given a copy and Jason was immediately booked to play the support for the Brian Cadd & Russel Morris show at the Deakin Waterfrtont in July 2007.

Jason''s wrote "Year Of The Cat", a rock anthem for the Geelong Football Club, and performed it at Skilled Stadium in front of 25,000 excited fans. (to see it, type "Jason Coghill" in You Tube). You can catch Jason regularly at gigs around Geelong & the Surf Coast.

“The songs are fantastic…” Michael Ward - Acorn Productions

Weekend Away is Jason Coghill’s debut EP. The title track is a “can’t get it out of your head” song about a weekend away down the coast where, “three’s a crowd but two is company…” and “though skies were grey it was a custom made day, made for you and me…”

Other songs include:

Pennsylvania- A medium pace folk/rock song reminiscing a trip to the East Coast US, “this is me, in elementary, this is me aged nine, hear I am getting used to those nickels and dimes…”

I’m Goin’ Fishin’ - a country rock, (more rock) song about a fishermans’ fantsty. As heard on 94.7 The Pulse Fishing Show Sat. mornings.

Without You - A cool, almost funky song featuring Jane Coghill on flute. ” If two lie down together, then together they’ll keep warm, but baby how can I keep warm alone, without you…”

Her Tonight- A searching rock balad exploring, through questions, the struggle of love and temptaion.

Lily Among The Thorns- An up-tempo rock song with a modern lyrical, take on “Love And Marriage”
