Details:
Velvet Revolution is a Chicago-area band that formed in 2010. All four members of Velvet Revolution are classically trained but into underground/punk/indie styles of music. The band leans heavily on complex keyboard lines and driving syncopated bass and drum tracks.

The members of the band are into all things odd such as meditation, psychic activity, paranormal and other things New Age. Main song writer Danny Dean is a dream psychic who has predicted various world events such as the Japanese earthquake, tsunami and Fukushami accident.

Velvet Revolution embraces Bowe-esque theatre/music hybrids, to push our artistic vision to the extremes. Although we love bands like Arcade Fire and other popular indie bands, we feel some of these bands are afraid to push the limits for fear of rejection by their fans.

Velvet Revolution wants nonconformist, crazy, very creative fans who love to revile in excess.

The idea behind Pop Art is a piece of work that revolves around an artist obsessed with his muse. This is a true story about Danny and a girl named Karen. Danny since has learned that capitulating to your muse, while allows for creating great art, will scare away the muse forever. Don''t follow the advice on this album if you want to win your prize. Danny has also learned that almost no one gets to be with their muse, because it requires rejecting the muse and making the muse come after them (which is nearly impossible to do).

The lyrics on "Pop Art," at times are double and triple entendres. The album cover is also symbolic of chakras, auras, muses, gods of art, and THE SOURCE of whatever magic and psychic power is.
