Vicious Cycle or VC for short, is a monumental team out of the DFW area consisting of not just one, but two of the game’s most elite spitters, regardless of gender or image. Don’t be fooled by their beauty, these two ferocious flamespitters will get gritty at the drop of a hat, able to mesh with virtually any soundscape provided them. Neeky''s Bio
GovernMENTALLY penciled and traced as Yolanda Washington, Earth brought forth life a reciprocal event. In LAWton, Oklahoma on Won Eleven Se7enty5 survived an INSTRUMENTAL calamity. Anatomically correct, the worlds esoteric axis placed her in the foreign eurythmics of Frankfurt, Germany. Until the age of 6 her ears would be heavily influenced by the sounds of sound produced heavily under the influence. Her dad of military travel, played the drums in a band to escape the wars of duress from whence most of her musical impression derived. Given her "first microphone" at the age of five, she easily recalls the equipment being too heavy to grasp with one hand. Often asked to entertain guests with her rendition of "The Wall" (yes Pink Floyd!) and numerous Prince songs, she quickly fell in love with PERFORMING. Her passion for writing, however, wouldn''t be embraced and nurtured until ebruptly returning to the states per military muscle. From the ages of 7 through 11 she spent alternating school/summer seasons between a military base in Ft. Polk, Louisiana (school) and Grand Prairie, Texas (summers). While off base in a near by city in Louisiana called Leesville, she often ear hustled parties thrown by her popular "night life" parents. When caught tryin'' to catch a glimps of the excitement (dancin'', drinkin'', swear''n, and smokin'') she was always reminded to.....STAY OUT OF GROWN FOLKS BUSINESS! Once her dad bailed the military life, her final migration would land her smack dab in the middle of Texas. As she matured art would rear its ugly head through several different mediums and characters. Being emotionally disturbed through genetics played a large role in the many personalities that were hidden and only became APPARENT through musical expression. While new to the local hiphop scene in Arlington a group of male emcees took her under their wing...only to abuse her skills, called the Crash Dummies. While looking to find production locally she worked with several great producers that took her hand and lead her in a more positive direction. Phazz, P-Nut the Producer Extroardinaire, and long term confidant DJ Spinn Eddie Gibson tha Magician Mr. Nyce Guy! A formula that would save her from herself would be a chemically imbalanced persona named Neeky Devero! Pronounced like Sneaky Clever Hoe, she first embarked on a solo career in 2001 when she left a previous female duo to stand alone a STRONG INDIVIDUAL FEMCEE! The final product Some Assembly Required needs just that, and all songs were produced by DJ Spinn except one. Neeky Devero, also known to many as Yoghi from an ALL MALE CREW called THE PHATHEAD SQUAD, which would later lose members and become a 5 member crew called 3Alarm. Neeky also appears on The Spinn Cycle Mixed Double CD. Falling in and out of sanity, hiphop would not forsake her so she stayed afloat through various mixed tapes, projects and performances, with the formerly known Devotion420, now known as The Co-Op. Getting married in 2005 to another well known and respected EMCEE SYNTAX STRANGE would solidify her love and committment for the art and culture of underground hiphop eyeternally. Currently embarking on a new project with Jersey Femcee known hard core rhyme client Money Stax, the long anticipated album Vicious Cycle is under construction (shouts to Rob Viktum!) Neeky Devero is also currently featured on a single, No Reason on The Co-Ops album, Mr. & Mrs. Spit which is due to be released Friday June 6th 2008. As she teams up with crew Dielex Kemposed she has starting a new solo project titled Hotel Yolanda that is currently under spray featuring newly found producer Spewcataclism (Epidermis) and her ever so favorite DJ Spinn. She is avidly a spokes person for the Speak Up/ Vicious Cycle Radio Show, and can be found actin'' a damn fool anywhere in the DFW AREA!
