Royal Iran presents Ferdowsi and Friends. Ferdowsi is the greatest writer from Royal Iran. Ferdowsi revived the Iranian culture by writing History and Human Rights legends and stories in the Pahlavi or Persian language thousand years ago. Minuvash, with her unique style, brings the heart of Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh, the Epic of the Kings, written a thousand years ago to revive Justice in Iran.
Baba Taaher is a special friend of Ferdowsi who was composing songs with two lines to balance social moods. Baba Taaher is a writer of blues and rock from thousand years ago.
Molavi, who is also known in the West as Rumi, was born 800 years ago in the empire of Pars. He spent most of his life in the empire of Rum. He composed all his books in the Pahlavi language that is based on positive thinking, speaking and acting. Molavi appeared as a healer to the Persian-speaking people of Iran.
Hafez Shirazi was born in Shiraz about 600 years ago. He, like other Iranian thinkers, was a friend of Zartusht. Hafez’s brilliant style of constructing invincible palaces with words is highly cherished by millions of Iranian people.
Minuvash learned about the work of these masters from her father during her childhood and chose to develop her voice at the age of 20, to share the great wisdom of the Iranian culture and literature with you.
Iranian Mothers Try, Mitra Kaveh and Roll your body are written and composed by Minuvash to motivate Iranian volunteers to return to Iran united, to turn on a solar candle, to produce the needed energy from Sun, Wind and Water, to revive Justice in the land of Zartusht, Ferdowsi, Baba Taaher, Molavi, Hafez Shirazi and Cyrus the Great, who abolished slavery 2569 years ago on Earth and gave the first declaration of human rights to the world.
All arrangements, Piano, Guitar, Drums and percussion, recording and digital mastering of this album are by Neek Seresht who was born in the Netherlands and has been studying Persian language with Minuvash since 1996. Minuvash and Neek Seresht have been performing live Ferdowsi and Friends as well as recording this CD.
