Ryan Rickman (Stello)

Stello grew up in Fayetteville NC. At a young age, Stello began playing around on his grandmothers old piano and began lessons at the age of nine. There was always a natural draw to gospel music, as his grandmother was quite active in the local church and expected her beloved grandson to do the same. Stello''s mother gave him his nickname; as she felt it was a variation of the word star, which she always felt he was and is his biggest fan.

Stello''s father was a teacher and coach at E.E. Smith High School, where Stello would tag along and begin hearing the music the athletes practiced to. Over those years he became a huge fan of hip hop and R&B. He began to appreciate and listen to a lot of rappers such as; Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, Nate Dogg, and of course Notorious BIG. Fayetteville is a big reason why Stello has a passion for hip hop. This area of the country has a diverse culture and it is reflected in the music, from hip hop, rap, southern rock and R&B, it blends all lines and genres.

Stello and Lynk write their own music and lyrics. They collaborate on things that happen in their lives and their town. Their music is very personal and they try to write and sing about things that people can relate to. Stello believes that music is one of the most important things in a person''s life. For instance, when you hear a certain song, it can take you back to an exact moment in your life, you can relive that moment, the pain, happiness and emotion can come flooding back, just by hearing a song. They truly try to inspire others and have a little fun in the process.

Andrew Morrissey (Lynk, aka Lynk n’ the Chain)

Born and raised in the city of Fayetteville, North Carolina, home of Fort Bragg. Being the biggest Army base in the United States, Fayetteville is full of a very broad variety of cultures. While growing up in such a diverse city, Lynk was afforded to opportunity to listen to and embrace music of all kinds. During the 90’s hip hop and the new age R&B took the nation by storm and became the new pop culture for kids growing up in the era. Lynk instantly fell in love with hip hop and R & B along with the entire culture surrounding it. His first tape purchased was The Chronic by Dr Dre featuring Snoop Dog. He was later strongly influenced by the likes of the late Tupac Shakur and Notorious BIG.

Lynk began writing and making music during his freshman year while at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill(RUN UNC). In the dorms, friends apartments and frankly anywhere he could get on a beat, he was constantly in the lab working on music trying to better his flow. Music was fun. Music was a way to ease your mind and release any stress that had built up from being on the daily grind. He always enjoyed making music, but never sought to make it a career move…..until late 2009.

Enter Lynk and Stello. Summer of 2009 Lynk reconnected with an old high school friend Ryan “Stello” Rickman through Facebook. Stello saw that Lynk liked to make music and reached out in an effort to bring their talents together and see what becomes of it. They started getting on the grind and co-writing and producing their own songs in their homemade studio. With Stello’s smooth vocals and Lynk''s diverse flow, the two knew that there was an instant chemistry with their music and decided to work towards the common goal of getting their music heard. After writing and tweaking many different songs of different styles, they felt that they had finally gotten to the quality of music they wanted and new that it was good enough to be heard on the radio. They reached out to all of their connections and within days had their first single “Body Roll” playing in a prime time spot with one of the most renowned Deejays in the Ville.

As a group, Lynk and Stello have a very diverse range of music that can reach out to music lovers of all cultures. Songs can range from Dance/pop culture, smooth Hip-Hop and R & B, to even some deep south rap music. While mainly being a rapper, Lynk aspires not to be defined by just one genre of music. He wants his music to be heard by listeners of all genres and wants to be defined as simply a musician who is passionate about what he does. A song tells a story. And we look forward to have music lovers of all cultures to embrace our music and hear our story.
