Details:
The Soulution is an up and coming worship band who originated in the youth ministry at Road to Life Church, Michigan USA. This 6 member team have been playing together
since 2007, but it wasn''t until the fall of 2009 that they took it to another level and became "the Soulution". Chemistry is key when it comes to creating and playing music, and this
band has it. Band members are Dave Gargano on electric, rhythm, & acoustic guitar along with lead vocals. He is the also the Worship leader and associate pastor of RTLC. Other members include James Wilbur on lead guitar, Ryan Woods on Bass guitar, Jarret Kramer on drums (he has won the fastest feet competition 2 years in a row at a national music chain store, where the judges said he may be one of the 10 fastest in the world), and Samantha Mohan & Elisha Schoeplein on Keyboard. Elisha, better known as Lish also does background vocals on this project. The song "People Will Come" features Hannah Meyer who shares lead vocals and Dom Tomlinson who wrote & performs the rap.

If you like Hillsong United, you will appreciate the sound of this EP. Andrew Ironside of Hillsong Church, Australia, was a major inspiration for this project. After bringing a worship encounter event to RTLC and hearing the song "Power to Save", he said, "the world needs to hear this song! It is the song of the decade for me." He then introduced us to Nathan
Ironside, of Ironside Creations, who believed in, mixed, and produced this project. He and his wife Mary have become a very important part of our team and are helping the band to develop not only in writing, but in every aspect of what it means to create, record, and produce an album.

The main song-writer for this project is Vanessa Gargano (David''s wife). Although she has no musical ability as far as singing or playing an instrument are concerned, she has a passion for writing and communicates the lyrics and melodies of the songs with enthusiasm. Dave will then take the music, work through the lyrics, maybe add or take away a little, and the band takes the song and develops it from there. She leads the children’s'' and marketing department at RTLC, so she is constantly finding ways to say things that have already been said in creative and interesting ways. This has been more than helpful when developing songs for this project.

Each song holds a special place with the band and each song was inspired by God during special moments of worship or while meditating on His word.

The first song ever written by the Soulution was "We Shout For You". The band decided that they were feeling inspired to write some originals and got together one day to
see what could develop. After just a couple of hours of scratching out some ideas that were on our hearts, the song was created. It clearly communicates the frustration
that many people feel when they focus on a culture who would rather leave God out of the equation. However, we recognize a generation of people who love God and are tired of
status quo; who are rising up to shout for God and for everything that He is and stands for.
"Power to Save" is the gem of this album. It was God inspired; literally dropped into Vanessa''s heart in moments, as she was meditating on God and just talking with him while getting ready for an evening service. As she began to sing out what was being placed in her heart, tears strummed down her face. She immediately knew that God wanted to do something with this song, so she grabbed the phone and with her crackling voice, recorded it. Within minutes, she called Dave and asked him to come home right away. After playing the voice recording, he grabbed his guitar and they both began to sing and play. He started to cry out; more than a song, more than we know, this is my heart I''m letting go. Dave and Vanessa sat in tears in their room and sensed God saying that this song would touch the world. As you read previously, when Andrew Ironside came and said the world needs to hear this song, it confirmed what God had spoken the day it was written. The band believes with everything that people will either come to a relationship with Christ for the first time or return to Him as well as being healed physically and emotionally as they connect with what the lyrics are communicating.

The Soulution wanted to bond as a band and spend some time writing some music together, so they went on a song-writing retreat. While at the retreat, one of the sessions consisted of drawing a scripture or phrase out of a bucket and then meditating on it or studying it for a while. The goal was to come together to discuss what God was breathing on. Before that happened a scripture in Psalm just kept jumping off the page about how we need to hope in the Word of God. Before long the band was gathered around the small table singing "Hiding Place". The hymn "Take this whole world, but give me Jesus" somehow was woven into the melody and it was an awesome time of worship with each other in that hotel room.

Next written was the song "Here We Come". This actually has a unique story and started one week before it came to life. God speaks to people many different ways, but for Vanessa, many times the Lord will communicate with her through dreams. One morning she woke up from a dream that she felt God spoke to her to drink water for 1 week. Anything could be eaten, but only water as a beverage for an entire week. This seemed insignificant at the time and she even questioned if this was her flesh or God, but after a couple of hours and a few confirmations later, she knew God was asking her to do this. After 3 days of sugar & caffeine detox and migraines, it still wasn''t making sense why God was requiring this of her.
Dave and her often rotate teaching for senior high/college students and this week happened to be her week. Services are on Sunday and by Friday, there was still not clear direction about what God would have her preach on. Saturday afternoon, Vanessa began to ask God why she didn''t have clear direction about what to preach about. Finally, it clicked. The story of Gideon began to unravel before her and as she meditated on, it was as if she had never heard the story before. God revealed some secret truths and provided revelation in a couple of areas which she did preach about at the Elev8 service. Students were touched and responded as they heard about seeing themselves the way God sees them. Even though Gideon was afraid, God said GO and take a friend; Do it Afraid! It was an amazing service and God truly moved in an awesome way! As Vanessa was driving home, the words to "Here We Come" flooded her soul. She immediately wrote it down, called the band and the rest is history. It seems silly to think that a simple act of obedience could lead to the writing of a song. But, that completed the one week fast. It all came together. "Here We Come" was birthed out of an act of obedience.

Finally, "People Will Come", is the last song on the EP and the last song the band has written together. Twice a year, the road student ministries develops a team of students in a program called Core. After 2 months of training, the Core students go on a retreat and then serve in the church for 4 months. At the last session of the retreat, Pastors Dave and Vanessa taught about what it means to be a bond-servant to Christ and how when we truly reflect his character in the world People Will Come to know Him. At the end of the session, Dave began to strum the guitar as students reflected on the sermon. Vanessa stood up to the microphone and began to repeat the phrase "People Will Come". The prophetic
melody continued to develop and as the band picked up on what God was doing. They gathered on stage and just began to play. Dave started singing the lyrics and the students started singing Oh Oh OH. Before we knew it, everyone was completely engulfed in the presence of God and the sound man said, "This is a great song, when did we write this?" The answer is, it was being written write in front of him, but, it was so well orchestrated that it felt like watching a dance that had been rehearsed for months. The band believes that "People Will Come" as this generation worships Christ in spirit and in truth.
