The Reckless Heroes'' debut album False Starts & Failed Attempts is a complete DIY effort. This low-budget album consists of 11 raw, aggressive songs accompanied by very personal, emotionally-driven lyrics. The actual sound of the album cannot be described using a single genre. The dual guitarists are quite different in sound: one bringing out elements of punk and the other bringing out elements of metal. The opposing guitars are held together by a simple yet tight rhythm section and the vocals are sung in a deep, lower-register voice which is slightly reminiscent of certain crooning rock acts (think Joe Strummer). This is an album to listen to if you want to release some anger.
