David "Bean" Coffee arrived in New Smyrna Beach (The Surfing Capital of the East Coast) as a high school aged youth in the late 1960''s. Already a surfer he jumped right into the surf scene and has been making waves ever since. He started up his first band in the early 1970''s with Kem McNair a renowned Pro Surfer and Artist and Billy Chapin now a music producer with multiple platinum records and sitting on the Board of Grammys.
Dave exited the surf town and went on the road playing Pro Gigs for 15 years with the band changing members constantly throughout. Dave mastered both guitar and bass and would trade off positions depending on the how the band membership would change.
After retiring from the road Dave now owns and operates a Pawn Shop in Edgewater, Florida and occasionally works with his pal Bill Chapin as a session player in Billy''s studio, Chapin Music Group. Dave''s shop is a magnet for all the surf elite to hang, chat and talk music. Thus, some of the inspiration for this current album.
Dave is a master at the "groove" and what makes people move. He has strong influences from the 80''s dance scene and the rhythms that thump your chest and the hooks that never leave your head. Dave is married and has a beautiful daughter whom inspired much of the lyrics he sings. This album was mastered for maximum impact (loud) and really moves the air when played over a powerful PA sound system. Great for getting you fired up as you cruise toward your favorite surf break for a day of surf.
