Biography
David Pool knew at the tender age of six that his dream was to become a country music star. Now David is realizing his childhood dream, and loving every minute of it! Growing up in Electra, Texas, he has been amazing audiences all over Texas, Oklahoma, Oregon and Arkansas with his talents since he was thirteen. David’s love of traditional country music comes from having musically talented brothers and sisters who introduced him to this genre. His grandmother and sister taught David to play the piano and he started singing with his brother, Cliff, in Plainview, Texas. They travelled around small venues for about ten years when David then started singing solo in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. His style is inspired by singers like Faron Young, Merle Haggard and George Jones. At seventeen, David was encouraged by George Jones backstage in Wichita Falls at The Stardust, he said “It is hard work, but if you stick to it, you''ll have a lot of fun!”
Several great country music artists have joined David on recordings including; Janie Fricke, Noel Haggard, Donna Fargo, and Hermann Lammers-Meyers. David Pool continues to impress his local audiences as a solo act as well because not only is he a great singer, he is an equally fine entertainer. He is committed to remaining true to himself and his traditional roots.
Producer, Phil York, has recorded three Grammy Winners and produced and/or engineered many gold and platinum albums with artists such as Willie Nelson. James Allen Promotions is introducing David''s music and Dan Tucker, Executive Producer, has created the T-Bar Music label to help David with a new full-length CD while he is also gearing up to tour Europe. Currently David lives on the T-Bar Ranch in Oklahoma. He loves fishing, hunting and working the cattle.
